Last reviewed: June 2026. eero is still a strong choice for homeowners who want simple mesh Wi-Fi management, automatic updates, and a clean app-based setup. Since the original post, eero has expanded into Wi-Fi 7 products, including eero Max 7, eero Pro 7, eero 7, and eero Outdoor 7 in supported markets.
Where eero works well
eero is often a good fit for homes, apartments, and small offices that need reliable coverage without a complicated controller. It works best when nodes are placed thoughtfully and, when possible, connected with wired backhaul.
Where to be careful
Mesh is not magic. Thick walls, weak placement, crowded channels, and too many wireless hops can still reduce performance. For larger homes, offices, or clients needing VLANs and advanced network control, UniFi or another managed network may be a better fit.
